How e-commerce is changing us and our planet

Eco-Business’s 2017 end-of-special report was an in-depth investigation of the environmental and social impact of climate change. Among other things, the story looked at the carbon footprint of shipping your shopping, how to deal with a growing mountain of packaging waste, and whether e-commerce companies can improve lives and create new opportunities in previously underserved remote areas.

The article was written by five members of the Eco-Business editorial team; I focused on the potential of e-commerce to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals, and also laid out the report in Shorthand.
